Jusep Torres Campalans

Jusep Torres Campalans (Mollerusa, September 2, 1886 - ?, c. 1956) was a fictitious Catalan painter created by Spanish novelist Max Aub in his imaginary biography of said painter. According to the book, Campalans was one of the co-founders of the Cubist movement, along with Pablo Picasso, during his stay in Paris. After the beginning of World War I, he is said to have moved to Mexico, where he spent the rest of his life as a reclusive in Chiapas.
