This is an encyclopedia not a place to advertise your shop. Fraslet 15:42, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

....and it's completely pointless advertising, as it's the only shop on the island. No-one is going to go all the way to Jura just because it has such a wonderful shop! Dhmellor 08:06, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not really an advert

That's fair enough but why has the external link been taken out, plus the so called advert is because a lot of visitors who come here bring goods with them because they either think there is no shop or they think we will be poorly stocked, so it's not just a normal advert, it is also informative.

I have some sympathy in that you are providing additional information. However, your attempts to date are so blatantly commercial that they are not going to work. Try, for example citing a reputable source. For all I know the shop has two bags of rice and a can of baked beans in stock. However, something like, "Jura Stores, the island's only shop was recently commended for its fine selection of locally sourced sea foods by George Orwell <ref>Oban Times, date, etc. etc." might be acceptable if it was genuinely informative and properly referenced. See WP:CITE for more information. Ben MacDui (Talk) 22:59, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

So will you please inform as to how Jura House are able to have an external link?
