Jurispedia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jurispedia is an Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch language WikiWiki academic law encyclopedia. It was started in October of 2004, inspired in part by Wikipedia and the Enciclopedia Libre (University of Seville). JurisPedia uses the MediaWiki software but is not a Wikimedia foundation project and unlike Wikipedia it uses a Creative Commons license (by-nc-sa).

Jurispedia has developed on the initiative of the Équipe de Recherche Informatique et Droit (Faculty of Law of the University of Montpellier I (France), the Faculty of law of the Can Tho University (Vietnam), the team of JURIS (Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada), and the Institut für Rechtsinformatik of the Saarland University (Germany). The project is open for cooperation with other worldwide law teams.
