I'm an astrophysics student from Venezuela. (Planning on living somewhere else) Marveled by the power of open source projects. Dreaming of a "free" world where one might not be obligated to work (for food or shelter) thanks to the reach of technology.

Probably won't update this page much... just started it to add some userboxes.


[edit] Anti-patriotism vs. Anarchism

Please note that although I consider patriotism to be an anachronism (as an userbox in this page states) I don't believe in anarchism. I believe there's still currently the necessity for a bureaucratic management of certain issues, and by regions, but in the words of George Bernard Shaw: "Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it.". I dislike the ideal, fanaticism and the prejudice that (quite similar to racism) patriotism gives. I hope countries will realize (as apparently it is happening in Europe) that progress is in union(and I'm not being naive as to disregard the issues that religion based countries will pose) probably with the aid that uprising technology will bring.
