A notice about "does not assert the importance or significance of the subject" was added while I was creating this page. I believe Mance's importance is self-evident from the existing mentions of him on other Wikipedia pages, but in addition I have since added to his biography. Consider that he has been recognized as the member of a hall of fame; serves as a faculty member at a prestigious American university; has worked with other notable Jazz musicians; and has recorded over thirty albums as a leader, many of which are widely-available online and in record stores, for well-known Jazz record lables.
