The Juno Award for Artist of the Year has been awarded since 2002 for the best Artist (musician) in Canada. Before that, the category was divided by sex. The Award was also known as Best Artist (2000-2002), Best Vocalist (1999, 1970-1974), and Vocalist of the Year (1975-1998).
