[edit] Gameplay
The goal of every level in both games is to clear the level of all trash cans, and Junkbot is the one who must clear the level. Junkbot cannot be moved by the player (he walks by himself, will not fall of an edge and will turn back if he walks into a dead end), but the player's movement of bricks can effect where he goes (however he cannot walk over a brick structure two or more bricks high (but he can walk on staircases)). The player cannot move grey bricks, but they can move colored bricks. When Junkbot comes in contact with a trash can, he will collect it. In Junkbot Undercover, there are certain levels in which there are trash cans that can walk away from Junkbot. However, these walking trash cans can fall off edges and cannot turn back if they walk into a dead end.
[edit] Special Bricks
- Jump Brick: Jump Bricks can make Junkbot jump if he steps on them. If it is gold-colored, it is movable.
- Shield Brick: Shield Bricks can make Junkbot invulnerable until he comes in contact with a Hazard. A movable version can be found in Junkbot Undercover.
[edit] Hazards
These can harm Junkbot and makes the player lose in the level.
- Gearbot: These robots can only move horizontally on a flat surface.
- Climbbot: These robots can move in any direction, and can move on staircases.
- Flybot: These robots can fly. Some fly horizontally, Some fly vertically. If they hit a surface they will move back.
- Eyebot: These flying robots will chase Junkbot if they see him.
- Drip: These are pipes that drip water. Junkbot can walk on the top of these pipes however.
- Heat Brick: These bricks produce harmful heat.
- Laser: These are laser cannons that can fire a harmful, continuous beam. Bricks can be used to block the beam. They appear in Junkbot Undercover.
[edit] Other Gameplay-Affecting Objects
- Crate: Crates cannot be moved by the player (nor can they attach to a brick). However, Junkbot can push these. For Junkbot to walk on a Crate, one brick must be added to the side of that Crate.
- Fan Brick: Fan Bricks can make Junkbot move upwards. A brick must block the fan and connect to a grey brick so Junkbot can descend.
- Switch: A step-activated switch that can turn Heat Bricks, Fan Bricks, or Lasers on or off.
- Teleporter: A device that can teleport Junkbot to another part of the level. If something is blocking a teleporter, that teleporter and its counterpart teleporter will not function. They appear in Junkbot Undercover.
