[edit] Plotline

Misaki is suddenly having some unexpected and odd problems. What started as a need for some college entrance exam tutoring has somehow led him to being romanced by a suave older man who also happens to be his big brother’s best friend.

Confused by all of his brand new emotions, Misaki struggles to deal with his suddenly very odd life. And if that wasn’t enough, his suitor, Usami, has plenty of issues of his own. A man-child who decorates his room in giant teddy bears and toys, Usami is a famous novelist who also writes steamy boys’ love novels on the side.

When Misaki cracks open one of these books and reads sentences like “Misaki licks every inch of Usami’s hot body”- well, let’s just say all hell breaks loose. And if one couple isn’t enough for you, Junjo Romantica focuses on three different sets of lovers, each with their own compelling stories.

[edit] Junjo Romantica

Misaki Takahashi (高橋美咲 Takahashi Misami?)
18 yrs: A university student. Misaki is the younger brother of Takahiro, and new love interest of Usami. He is 10 years younger than Usagi.

Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai

Akihiko Usami (宇佐見秋彦 Usami Akihito?)
28 yrs: A popular author of non-fiction and erotic yaoi fiction. His nickname is "Usagi", which means "rabbit" in Japanese. Usagi is recruited to become Misaki's tutor, to assist him in raising his grades for the college entrance exams.

Voiced by: Hikaru Hanada

Haruhiko Usami (宇佐見春彦 Usami Haruhiko?)
Usagi's older brother. Seemingly a very mysterious and quite a cold man towards his younger brother. Mystery surrounds the two brothers as to why they act the way they do around each other. Haruhiko doesn't seem to approve of the way Usagi goes about his life. He is sure to cause tension between Usagi and Misaki as he too seemingly declares his love for the youngster causing more drama to explode.

Takahiro Takahashi (高橋孝浩 Takahashi Takahiro?)
Misaki's older brother, best friend to Usagi. Usagi used to be in love with him, but he was oblivious to it, so Usagi moved on to love his younger brother instead.

Voiced by: Kishô Taniyama

[edit] Junjo Egoist

Hiroki Kamijo (上條弘樹 Kamijo Hiroki?)
22 in first appearance, 28 yrs : A loner and passionately violent aspiring professor of classical Japanese literature; he's the link between the two main story arcs: Hiroki was in love with Usagi, but Usagi was oblivious to it. Hiroki is now Nowaki's love interest.

Voiced by: Kentarou Itou

Nowaki Kusama (草間野分 Kusama Nowaki?)
18 in first appearance, 24 yrs : Orphaned without a name as an infant, Nowaki was named by the head of the orphanage. His name "Nowaki" means "typhoon" in Japanese, because he was found on the orphanage's doorstep in a heavy rain storm. He is 4 years younger than Hiroki, and studying to become a pediatrician.

Voiced by: Nobutoshi Canna

[edit] Junjo Terrorist

You Miyagi (宮城庸 Miyagi You?)
Miyagi is a 35 year old Literature Professor at M University. He works with Kamijo Hiroki. Was once married, but is now divorced most likely due to his indifference to feelings and emotions. His love interest is surprisingly enough - his ex-wife's younger brother!

Voiced by: Kazuhiko Inoue

Shinobu Takatsuki (高槻忍 Takatsuki Shinobu?)
18 yrs : A young high school student who believe's it to be fate that he is in love with his ex-brother-in-law Miyagi You. Would very much like Miyagi to take responsibility for it now.

Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio
