Junius Edgar West

Junius Edgar West (born July 12th, 1866) was a Virginia politician born in Sussex County, Virginia. West was a Waverly, Virginia Delegate (1910-1912) and Senator (1912-1918). He became superintendent of Sussex County schools in 1889. He began in the public school system of Sussex County a long and distinguished career, which included his membership in the General Assembly and in the State Senate, and the Lieutenant governorship of Virginia from 1922 to 1930.[1]

He was the brother of Jesse F. West, another prominent Virginia politician.
