June Daugherty
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
June Daugherty is an American women's college basketball coach at Washington State University. She was previously the head coach at Boise State University from 1990-1996 and the University of Washington from 1997-2007 and has a career record of 314-213. In her 11 years at UW she took her teams to the NCAA tournament 6 times, including her final year at UW, after which she was fired for what UW Athletic Director Todd Turner said was a "lack of buzz" around the women's basketball program. Less than a month later on April 20, 2007 Daugherty was officially introduced as head coach at UW's biggest rival, WSU, a school she never lost to in 22 contests while at UW.
