Jun Azumi

Jun Azumi (安住 淳? born 1962) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Oshika District, Miyagi and graduate of Waseda University, he worked at the public broadcaster NHK from 1985 to 1993. He was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1993 as an independent. He later joined the DPJ.
