[edit] Fair use in Jung Myung Seok

Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws, and the stricter requirements of Wikipedia's non-free content policies, because:

  1. It is necessary to confirm the identity of the individual the article refers to, as often his followers don't refer to him with his full name (instead Pastor Joshua, or Joshua Lee, or Joshua Jung, etc.) which means people looking for information on him may not be sure the article refers to their "Pastor Joshua".
  2. It also serves to distinguish from any other individuals referred to by the same names, particularly important due to subject's infamy.
  3. The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of the article topic.
  4. The image is a single frame from a video sermon dated 2006, 30th April.
  5. Being a single frame, it could not in any way be seen a replacement for the video sermon.
  6. It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value. See talk.
