The part where it says....."he hasn't laughed out loud in 200 years..."-is a big mistake. Eoin Colfer wrote that in the Artemis Fowl Files, but in the first book, he laughs at something Foaly says, and in the third book, he laughs at something Artemis says. --Artemis 16:42, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
That is a continuity error, similar to the one where Artemis cracks his knuckles in the first book, but at the beginning of Book 3, he says he detests the habit. -007bond 12:05, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Promotion
Where in the books does it say that "it is later revealed that Commander Root was in fact supposed to be promoted to the Council before his tragic murder"? It was Holly who was up for promotion, not Root. Lethe naiad 09:34, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
