Some of the information here comes from Eastman's own bio as given in a concert program at a concert he gave at Northwestern University in January, 1980. Kylegann 21:46, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Autobiographical addition

Whoa, who put this in:

I assisted Julius Eastman in producing an avant garde play, probably 'Stay on it', in the winter of 1973 or 74 in New York City.... Looking back at it now i think his genius (and dementia) was expressed using himself as a metaphore for his music.....much as a reversal of conventional performing arts where the music is a metaphore for the slithering, tormented artist trying to get inside of the audiences psyche....

And so on. It strikes me that Wikipedia is hardly the place. If you want this material included, state it as fact or documentable interpretation. Kylegann 17:36, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
