[edit] Manager

He lost all 4 games he played, not eleven. Colón had lost seven straight games before he came, though, so that's why Colón has an eleven-match losing streak. http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=474750

[edit] Big 3

Independiente must be considered to be one of the big 3 in Argentina for several reasons.

  1. Only Independiente, Boca and River have remained ever present in the top division without relegation.
  2. Independiente are not only the most successful Argentine team in Copa Libertadores, they are the most successful team in the whole history of the competition with 7 titles and the only team ever to win it 4 times in a row (1972-1975).
  3. Independiente have won more professional league titles than anyone except Boca and River with 14 championships.
