[edit] Reviews

I just added a review from the Washington Post that was written in 2003. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2003/09/07/AR2005041501559_3.html Jameskelley 21:03, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Julien Aklei has had notable reviews published, I am posting a link to an article. Please know that I am expanding this page out to include more information. She has an exceptional following and performs regularly.

I have added a reference to an article written about her in a newspaper, very detailed and included her Discography. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to avoid the "speedy deletion." Jameskelley 17:07, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rock Hard Daddy!

Look at this! I mean, how can an artist like this still be underneath America's cultural radar? Julien Aklei's not like some celeb wannabe, she's like a pink version of Prince!

But updated! And her art has been in Playboy? Man, I'll pay anything to get a piece from that line! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.138.65.97 (talk) 05:10, 19 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Notability

Ms. Aklei may well be notable enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia, but one wouldn't know it from the current state of the article. The only thing backing up her notability is a secondary mention in a Washington Post article. In my estimation, if this article was nominated for deletion, it would risk deletion unless there's more reliable sources referenced. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 14:46, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

I went ahead and added the Notability tag to alert other editors that more references are needed to confirm the notability of this individual. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 16:35, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
