Julius J. Lipner

Julius J. Lipner is an academic, currently a member the Divinity Faculty at the University of Cambridge, England, where he is Professor of Hinduism and the Comparative Study of Religion, and a Fellow of Clare Hall.

Lipner was born and raised in India and studied for his PhD at King's College, London. His interests include traditional and modern Vedanta, as well as 19th century Bengal [1]. He has worked alongside many scholars and Hindu religious leaders such as Kenneth Cracknell [2] and Tamala Krishna Gosvami whom he has worked with in exploring the academic discourse on Krishnology [3].

He is a member of the Academic Advisory Council for the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies [4]. He is also a trustee of The Woolf Institute for Abrahamic Faiths.
