Julius Epstein

  • Julius Epstein (pianist) (Agram 1832-Vienna 1926), Austrian pianist and Professor at the Music Conservatory in Vienna, among his pupils was Gustav Mahler (1860-1911). He edited the Schubert "Gesamtausgabe" (piano works). He was married to Amalie, born Mauthner, died 1916. His son, Richard (*1869) was also a pianist, who 1904-14 lived in London, later in New York.
