Julienne Busic

Julienne Busic (1948-) is the wife of Zvonko Busic and a member of the Croatian Freedom Fighters. She was arrested in 1976 after hijacking a TWA airliner and sentenced to life in prison.

She reentered the public eye when she was attacked by fellow inmate (at FCI Pleasanton) and attempted U.S. Presidential assassin Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme in 1979[1].

She was released from federal prison in 1990 after serving 13 years. She subsequently has been active supporting Croatian humanitarian causes in the U.S. and Europe. Her book, Lovers and Madmen (2000, Writers Club Press), chronicles her relationship with Zvonko and the events leading up to the hijacking.

As of 2007, Zvonko Busic is in the Communications Management Unit (CMU) in Terre Haute, Indiana.
