Julien Rodriguez (born 11 June 1978) is a French professional footballer currently playing for Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille.
Rodriguez started his career at AS Monaco, making 135 appearances for the club, before joining Scottish Premier League club Rangers on August 4, 2005 for £1m.
He scored his first goal for Rangers on March 11, 2006 in Rangers' 4-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Ibrox Stadium. He made a total of 30 appearances for Rangers in his debut season with the club.
Rodriguez was expected to be an important member of the Rangers team under the management of fellow Frenchman Paul Le Guen in season 2006-07. However Paul Le Guen's reign as manager was short and unsuccessful, and Rodriguez was transferred to Olympique de Marseille in January 2007 following the appointment of new manager Walter Smith.
He has since received a call-up to the French national squad, and has impressed very much in the white of Marseille while playing some of the best football of his career.
