[edit] Biography

Reeves grew up in Ashland, Kentucky and made her way to country music mecca Nashville in 1994. She worked as a singer on demo recordings and in other odd jobs. Reeves was discovered and signed to Virgin Records. Her debut and only album It's About Time was released in 1999. It received critical acclaim but her three singles, "It's About Time," "Trouble is a Woman," and "What I Need," failed to ignite country radio, with only the last two barely cracking the Top 40 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs. She was also featured on "Shoulda Shut Up", a song featuring Bill Engvall's spoken-word comedy and a sung chorus. She was dropped by the record company. She married country music parodist Cledus T. Judd and gave birth to a daughter Caitlyn Rose in 2004, the marriage later ended.

Reeves gained new attention in 2007 when American Idol contestant Melinda Doolittle performed "Trouble is a Woman" on the show.[1]
