Acclaimed author and researcher, Julie Mundy is a writer on 20th Century history and popular culture and is recognised as an expert on Elvis Presley. She has written for and edited several high-profile publications on Elvis Presley, and is the owner and editor of the website www.elvis.co.uk as well as several other high profile domains.
In 2003, Graceland chose Julie Mundy to document Elvis Presley's stunning wardrobe and his influence on twentieth century popular culture. Julie was given unprecedented access to the singer's personal collection of clothing and accessories to produce the highly acclaimed which received its first of many glowing reviews on the front page of the Style Section and was followed up in the UK by a full colour six-page review in
Julie has also written many articles for specialist music and rock 'n' roll publications, as well as assisting in research for a wide variety of organisations including BBC Television and Radio, Granada Television, Sky One, Channel 4, Sky News, GMTV, QVC and countless magazine titles along with foreign, national and regional newspapers and partworks. She was also responsible for a re-launching the Official Elvis Presley Fan Club Magazine in her role as editor, before moving onto her own business ventures.
Julie has also made countless television appearances on the subject of Elvis Presley and recently appeared in the ABC documentary Her work has been personally commended by Elvis' legendary manager Colonel Tom Parker and in 1999, members of Elvis' personal entourage awarded Julie with a lifetime achievement award for her work in promoting Elvis and made her an honorary member of Elvis' Memphis Mafia.
Her critically acclaimed biography on Eddie Cochran, co-written with musician Darrel Higham, has recently been optioned for a movie.
Julie is married to Bathroom Designer Trevor Yeardye, where their Hertfordshire home even has replica Graceland gates!
