Julie Kogon

Julius Kogon (April 4, 1918 - December, 1986) was an American boxer, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who fought in the Lightweight division.
During his career, Kogon fought five opponents in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions who were either current champions or who would become champions later in their careers. They were:
- Willie Pep (1944 - Lost a decision in the 10th)
- Leo Rodak (1940 - Draw in the 10th)
- Petey Scalzo (1940 - Won a decision in the 8th)
- Ike Williams (1944 - Lost a decision in the 10th)
- Bob Montgomery (1941 - Lost a decision in the 10th).
After his professional career ended, among other endeavors, Kogon was an instructor of intramural boxing at Yale.
