[edit] Character History

Duke Lavery had underground connections and was attempting to keep them from his wife, Anna. Julian took a bullet meant for Duke and on his deathbed requested that Duke help his father, Victor, legitimize the mob. Victor intended to make Duke help him. It turns out that his sister, Olivia St. John, ordered the hit on her brother. She was obsessed with running the mob. Cheryl Stansbury had a connection with the Jerome family. She was once in love with Julian, who was murdered. One day while visiting his grave, Julian appeared very much alive.

Duke decided to testify against the mob and went into the witness protection program. After Duke learned of Victor's death he thought it was safe for him to come out of hiding. Little did he know that Julian wanted revenge. Lucy Coe began receiving letters from an admirer that turned out to be Victor Jerome. He escaped from prison to meet her. He choked on a pendant that he had made for Lucy and she dumped is body in the water off of Spoon Island.

The Jerome crime family decided to regroup to take care of two problems. Julian wanted Duke truly dead and to neutralize his sister, Olivia. They wanted to frame Olivia for the murder of Duke. Duke had plastic surgery to change his look before he came out of hiding. Julian shot and killed his sister, Olivia, who alerted Anna Lavery that Duke was alive. Before Duke could reunite with Anna he was gunned down by Julian.

Mark Broxton was Victor's lawyer and had contacted Julian. They wanted to eliminate Robert Scorpio. The lawyer contained a file about a baby born to Cheryl Stansbury that had been stillborn. The baby was actually adopted by Bobbie Spencer. Bobbie was jumpy every time she saw Cheryl hold Lucas. Bobbie did some investigating and discovered that Lucas was Cheryl and Robert's baby.

Cheryl begged Robert to help her find her missing baby. She revealed to him that Julian was actually the baby's father and not Robert.
