Julia Jarman (born 28 March 1946) is a British author. Her books are aimed at children of all reading ages and ability, up to the age of 15. Her most critically acclaimed book to date is The Haunting of Nadia.
Julia Jarman was born Julia Hudspeth [1] in the village of Peterborough, and now lives in Riseley, Bedfordshire [2]. She pursued an interest in acting at Manchester University [3] but decided to teach. Her first book was published in 1985.
Her novel Ghost Writer won a Carnegie Medal in Literature in 2002, and her novel Peace Weavers won one in 2004.
