Julia Dupree is a fictional character on the medical drama series ER. She is played by Reiko Aylesworth.

Julia was introduced in the episode “Under The Influence” and was County Generals Chaplin. Julia was somewhat of a free spirit and had a very new age approach to religion. She began a romantic relationship with Dr. Tony Gates but this was brought to an abrupt end when he kissed nurse Samantha Taggart. It was revealed in the episode “Owner Of A Broken Heart” that Julia had quit her job and had gone to Nepal for two years.


Her open, inclusive spirituality is based on the teachings of Rabbi Brian Zachary Mayer who served as a consultant to the writers.
