[edit] Ernest M. Edsel
Could you please tell me specifically what you object to with respect to my tagging this article with the {{likeresume}} tag? I'm sorry if you are offended, but it is written more like a resume than like what the Wikipedia:Manual of Style describes. So I really don't know what you are so upset about. --Eastlaw (talk) 06:04, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I don't really appreciate you attacking my credibility, when it has nothing to do with the issue at hand. --Eastlaw (talk) 06:08, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
I didn't make any "wholesale changes", I merely tagged the article for style editing. And what alleged "other biographies" am I ignoring? --Eastlaw (talk) 06:14, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] EASTLAW
Eastlaw, this is not the first time you've done this ... you did it on the Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman article by knowsetfree
Your review and opinions are appreciated but you've also made similar arbitrary comments on other matters.
Why not use sandbox or send a note BEFORE making category deletions as you've done to other articles?
Please read the discussion section for the standards we use for businesspeople, lawyers, and judges
Please keep in mind that MARQUIS has done biographies long before any of us were born and that professional librarians, law firms, and businesses use and rely upon MARQUIS.

- Look, you don't WP:OWN the articles on Wikipedia, regardless of whether or not you yourself wrote them. The only reason I removed a few of the categories on the Edsel page was because they seemed inappropriate toward the subject matter. Secondly, I couldn't care less about the standards Marquis publishing uses. That is utterly irrelevant to article style on Wikipedia. Now please, leave me alone. --Eastlaw (talk) 07:12, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it - see below.
Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, related to a 'real-world' group or organization, confusing, or misleading.
If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username which is quick and easy. To do so, please follow these directions:
-
- Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
- At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.

[edit] Marquis Who's Who is not a reliable source for Wikipedia articles
It should be noted that this company's publications are not reliable sources as we define them. I can testify personally that the entry about me, for example, was primarily drawn from the undocumented assertions of the subject himself. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:30, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
