[edit] Purpose of this stub
Note: This stub is for articles that are directly connected to the Jewish religion i.e. Judaism, in some way or other, including non-Biblical Jewish religious texts. Those subjects that deal with the Hebrew Bible or Torah or Tanakh articles have their own {{HeBible-stub}} (Category:Tanakh stubs). The Judaism-stub is not for secular subjects or articles which are covered by the more general {{Jewish-hist-stub}} (Category:Jewish history stubs). There is also a separate stub for the modern State of Israel-related articles {{Israel-stub}} (Category:Israel stubs). Thank you. IZAK 04:24, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] request for colour change
{{Editprotected}} Hi, I disagree with the use of a specifically blue Magen David. Although the Magen David is indeed an ancient Jewish symbol, this image, specifically in the colour blue, has come of late to be associated with zionism, which is a historically new movement that is by no means universally accepted in the Jewish world, and thus the use of this particular image is POV. I suggest that it be changed back to the neutral image on an earlier edit: a black Magen David. This image could be used, an image that is still in use for the Judaism bio template: Thanks in advance. --Yehoishophot Oliver 14:12, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Cheers. --MZMcBride 14:49, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- See Blue in Judaism. There was no consensus for this change. I personally dislike black Magen David. BTW, if we are looking for an ancient symbol, a better choice would be menorah: Magen David became a Jewish symbol only in the Middle Ages. ←Humus sapiens ну? 22:58, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have no objection to changing the symbol to a Menorah. Yehoishophot Oliver 00:50, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
