NPOV dispute: this article presents the fantasies of an internet crank as fact. I'll be working on NPOVing this article, but it's not something I can get to immediately. Gamaliel 01:38, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)

This page is not bent in favor of her at all. I see someone who copied from others' work.

From JVB:

I appreciate the above statement that was made by a reader. The article was indeed copied from an online article written mostly by John McAdams and Dave reitzes, both of whom concur that Oswald killed Kennedy. Since I am a witness who insists that their claims are unfounded, and they have invested their lives and careers in the matter, they have attacked my claims and created their own distorted version of my life, despite my protests.

This statement is made by Judyth Vary Baker, and constitutes a protest concerning the Wikipedia article lifted from the McAdams website:
To wit: John McAdams wrote the article, assembling information from persons who disputed the claims of Baker.
He never met Baker. When I, the person he describes in such seemingly knowledgeable a manner, attempted to correct and/or pl;ace in proper historical perspective many of his statements as exaggerrated (and, in fact, often coming from misinformed second parties), he refused to respond. I was surprised to see stolen emails that were also altered used to buttress his version of matters.
I also attempted to contact Wikipedia with a revised article. I received no reply. HGowever, I may not have adequately identified myself.
Example of distortions, where former classmates are reported as equally 'divided'on whether I was íntelligent'or 'weird'(what a choice!): a handful of former students at Manatee High, some of them friends of mine, were contacted by a Mr. Robert Johnson who asked them "Do you know anything about this weird woman and her bizarre story?" Worried when he hung up on at least one of them when she gave information that was supporting, I was contacted and of course have the emails from this former schoolmate and others expressing their concerns.
To bring balance to the article would require rewriting in its entirety. Researchers looking into my history with honesty have discovered that I'm not as 'weird'and 'bizarre'as the McAdams article may seem to imply.
An article by a seasoned statistician, published in The Dealey Echo, for example, in Great Britain (with a disclaimer by its editor, Ian griggs)discloses that the chances it was only accidental that Oswald and I were placed in prearranged jobs with Reily together together in New Orleans were greater than a million to one. The article also states that the chances we knew each other before that job placement was 98%. In fact, we met April 26, 1963.
I have retained ample evidence of our association. Unlike some other eyewitnesses, I also have living witnesses who have gone on film/audiotape making supporting statements, for they saw Oswald and me together and witnessed that we were lovers. Attempts to discredit these wiotnesses have bordered on the frantic and the desperate. In addition, new evidence has resulted from following leads I've given researchers.
I would ask that Wikipedia editors please consult me for factual corrections to the article lifted from John McAdams' site. McAdams exhibited irresponsibility in failing to get the article vetted by the article's living subject, myself, and those who could verify my corrections. He would not even correct a wild tale that I claimed I 'owned' Oswald's 'shower shoes'-- something so ridiculous I thought that at least THAT would be removed from his article. McAdams refused to even respond to my request that this absurd fairytale be excised. The ONLY correction he made was to change the high school's location from Clearwater to Brqadenton. He even had THAT wrong. And finally, I am not a "Florida"woman. Most of my life was spent in Texas.
The true summary of the actual events between Oswald and myself is neither so absurd nor so outrageous as the convoluted and distorted material published by McAdams. However, I can report that Oswald was indeed involved with the CIA and was used as a handy 'patsy'in the cover-up of the assassination. I suggest that when my book comes out (sometime this year -- 2005---or next) that persons interested avail themselves of the true story. Legends and rumors -- created without consulting the persons involved-- abound in JFK assassination circles. It's a shame. Even worse is to experience what I have -- a staunch refusal to correct information that is incorrect when confronted by the person of whom these characters write -- without even speaking once to that person. Thus the McAdams/Reitzes material should not constitute the sole source of information on the subject of my life and my association with Lee Harvey Oswald. At the end of this letter, I offer two ways to reach me by email. I will be happy to answer questions from sincere, interested individuals.
I have recently spent several years in various locations such as Holland, Hungary and Great Britain, and move constantly due to my work as an artist, writer, and instructor of language. However, I may be reached by writing to Dr. Howard Platzman at howpl@aol.com, or by writing to Martin Shackelford at mshack@concentric.net. Both gentlemen have correct information regarding my liason with Oswald. Please forgive any typos in this material. I'm very busy and have some eye problems. Thank you, Judyth Vary Baker

Actually, the section that begins "Killers and the women who love them" was lifed from my essay on Judyth. I'm not exactly mad about that, but it still should not be used without attribution. I think I'll just go in an rewrite it, and list my page as a citation. -- John McAdams
