To remove the phrase about how Davis rescues TV films from their schlocky scripts is taking POV standards to an absurd extreme. Most TV movies have schlocky scripts and cases like the Ronald Reagan film and the Hellman one have been criticized by the NY Times and other on these ground even while they admire Davis' acting. And who can deny that she rescued the Judy Garland biopic from an undistinguished script? -- 15 Feb 2006
