[edit] Let's upload the facsimile of the front-page

Shmuel did away with a link he regarded to be a "nazi link" [1]. Nevertheless he might be right, I suggest we should make an upload of the frontpage, be it opencontent (simply a foto) or a source for making fair use of. Thanx for help, (I'm sorry but I can't handle pictures myself, my fingers are all thumbs doing such stuff.). I like Burke's Peerage 10:20, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] put out of context by evil holocaust deniers

this is a LIE because everywhere they make it explicit it's about a boycott. the jews didn't even had stole palestina yet, how the hell they would have an army or something to start a war? the article is just mocking reviosinists and calling them plain stupid bitches in an absurd scale.

[edit] Boycott

I'm going to add some more information to this. Such as, what exactly the paper meant by 'declares war' I'm going to write about the boycott on german goods, etc. I expected to find that information when I came to this article, but instead just a bunch of stuff about silly holocaust denires. Thanks :)Sup dudes?[[User:Kitler005]] 23:18, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Citation urgently needed

Under

==Later abuse by antisemites== The headline has been used retroactively by antisemites and Holocaust deniers such as the Institute for Historical Review as a means of blaming World War II on the Jews and for arguing that German atrocities against the Jews, including the Holocaust, were defensive and a response to a supposed declaration of war by the Jews of the world. The IHR's article on the so-called declaration implies it was a real declaration of military war and not simply a resolution for a boycott. According to the Nizkor site, the use of this headline by modern "historical revisionists" is "a cheap trick to make it seem as if 'the Jews of the world' started the 'war' against Germany, instead of the other way around. The word 'war' means many things. In this case it meant planning to apply economic pressure." (citation needed)

a citation is demanded. If no citition comes within 2 weeks I will delete the chapter. Byzanz

I deleted the chapter. If anybody comes along with a reputable source proving it as a fact, you are welcome to reinsert it. Regards Byzanz 10:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Remarks on the effect the headline had

After having published the headline it provoked an uproar in Germany. The German Government protested and the british embassador had heaps of work to calm them. Finaly the diplomatic crisis beetwenn Germany and UK could be arranged. But Nazi-Germany used it as a pretence to make things harder for the jewish population in Germany. [edit] Bias

The last sentence is, in my opinion, very anti-encyclopedic, and I removed it. "The article and other documents of that time are still used by Holocaust deniers and far right activists as part of their claims about an alleged Jewish world conspiracy against Germans and the so-called Aryan race." AlexRochon (talk) 21:17, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

It's actually true. There is a Holocaust denial film with the same name. WilliamH (talk) 16:38, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
