Judy Norton Taylor

Judy Norton Taylor is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica, California, on January 29, 1958 Her most famous role was that of "Mary Ellen" in the series The Waltons, a part she first played in the 1971 movie The Homecoming: A Christmas Story and subsequently during the entire run of the series (1972-1981) on CBS. In the story line, Mary Ellen had a boyfriend, G.W. Haines, played by David Doremus. G.W. was killed in a training accident at the start of World War II. During the run of the program, Judy Norton married and until the end of the series, she was billed as Judy Norton-Taylor.

When the series ended she appeared in a few "Waltons" television films made during the late 1980s. During the later Waltons movies, she had divorced and reverted to using her original name of Judy Norton.

In 1983, she appeared nude in Playboy Magazine, ostensibly to break with the image she had assumed for her role in "The Waltons". Subsequently, she became a Scientologist.

She has one son, Devin, and is now married to Randy Apostle with whom she runs a chain of dance clubs in Canada.

She is also a writer and director having over forty original shows produced in the United States and Canada.

She is also a singer and has headlined and guest starred in numerous concerts.
