Judy Hopwood
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Judy Hopwood is an Australian politician and member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. She is married with two daughters.
Hopwood has represented the electorate of Hornsby for the Liberal Party of Australia since a by-election in 2002.[1] She is considered a moderate Liberal Party member. It was reported that that the Liberal Right faction attempted to dis-endorse her in May 2006 during a purge of more moderate members.[2] She survived this push due to local support and the support of then NSW Liberal leader Peter Debnam. She was recently dumped from the Shadow Ministry by new NSW Liberal Leader Barry O'Farrell, who is from a different faction to Ms Hopwood.[3]
