Judith Palfrey

Judith Palfrey (b. 1945) is the T. Berry Brazelton Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and the author of Community Child Health: An Action Plan for Today (1995) and Child Health In America: Making A Difference Through Advocacy (2006), and co-author of the Disney Encyclopedia of Baby and Childcare (1999). She is also Housemaster of Adams House along with her husband Sean Palfrey at Harvard University who is also a pediatrician in Boston.

Dr. Palfrey is a 1967 graduate of Radcliffe College and the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a fellowship in community child health at Children's Hospital Boston. She was chief of the Division of General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Boston for 25 years and has recently retired from that role to become director of the Children's International Pediatric Center at Children's Hospital, Boston.

One son is John Palfrey, a professor of law at Harvard Law School. One son is Quentin Palfrey, assistant Attorney General for Health Care in Massachusetts. Her daughter Katy Palfrey is making movies in L.A..
