Judith Godwin

Judith Godwin (born 1930) is an American abstract painter.

Born in Virginia, Judith Godwin moved to New York City in 1953 where she attended the Art Students League. She also studied with Hans Hofmann and Will Barnet. Godwin is considered a second-generation abstract expressionist. Her work is influenced by gardening, modern dance, and Zen.

Institutions holding her works include New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Chicago Art Institute.
