Judgment recovery

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Judgment Recovery is a process through which judgments or debts are collected by the plaintiffs or the creditors. Judgment Recovery Specialists can retrieve the judgment awarded to a plaintiffs by the court.[citation needed]. These professionals usually take a small piece of percentage out of a plaintiffs- awarded judgment.[citation needed].

Almost every year, approximately eighty percent of judgments go uncollected in the United States.[citation needed] Thus the debt goes uncollected by the creditors, even after a court order.[citation needed]. Most of such cases are found in the small claims or civil courts, where the court has no power to enforce on such judgments awarded to a defendant or a creditor.[citation needed]. This and many other factors have contributed to the fact that the Judgment Recovery Business is a billion dollar and above business[citation needed].

The business of judgment recovery is a small one[citation needed]. A part time judgment recovery specialist earns approximately $3500 to $5000 a month, as compared to $9000 to $12500 that a full time judgment recovery specialist[citation needed].
