* = Compilation of only songs from the Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings of Destiny albums. These four compilations were released by Gull/Koch records without the consent of the band. The albums were put out in an attempt to capitalize on Judas Priest's popularity. The album Hero, Hero is notable because, in its original release, the tracks off of Rocka Rolla are actually remixes which Rodger Bain did in 1981. Most CD reissues do not honor this intent and feature the original mixes[2].
** = Like the two Gull/Koch compilations, The Best of Judas Priest: Living After Midnight is not endorsed by the band, as they had severed their ties with Columbia Records during the time of its release.

[edit] The whole band

  • Judas Priest collaborated with Alice Cooper and Motorhead for a project called Operation Rock Roll.
  • In 1987 Judas Priest experimented with famous pop producers Stock Aitken and Waterman, and recorded three tracks. Some fans were furious, as they believed Judas Priest wanted to release pop albums. The tracks were never released, and are believed to be in Judas Priest's possession.
