Juan Ramón López Caro, known as López Caro (born March 23, 1963 in Lebrija, Spain) is a football manager who has managed teams like Real Madrid and Levante UD of the Spanish La Liga.
Lopéz Caro came to Real Madrid in 2001 to take charge of the reserve team - Real Madrid B. The 42-year-old quietly earned a reputation at Madrid after lifting the B team back into the Segunda división. In 2005/2006, he became first team coach, replacing Brazilian Vanderlei Luxemburgo who was fired on December 4, 2005. Prior to that, he had worked at RCD Mallorca and was on the bench during their brief run in the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2000.
On 27th May 2006 it was announced that he would take over as head coach of Spanish La Liga side Racing de Santander, but he joined Levante UD 2 months later. However, midway through the season, with his team lying in 17th place in the table, he was sacked on January 15, 2007.
On October 8 2007 he was appointed new manager of Celta de Vigo, replacing Hristo Stoichkov after a string of very unsuccessful games
On March 10th, 2008 he was fired as the manager of the club, again due to a string of bad results. He is the 11th coach in the second division of Spain to lose his job this season.
