Juan Palacios

Juan Tello Palacios (born May 11, 1985) is a forward for the University of Louisville men's basketball team.
Born in Medellín, Colombia, Juan Palacios attended high school at Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York. As a senior, he averaged 20.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals.
As a freshman at the University of Louisville, he had six double-doubles and scored a then career-high 25 points. During his sophomore year, he bested his career-high with 29 points against UConn and was a double-figure scorer in 17 games.

Like his teammate David Padgett, Palacios has had numerous injuries. In 2004, he suffered a contusion and corneal scratch to his left eye during the game against the Kentucky Wildcats. Since then, he wears protective eyewear in every game. In 2005, he injured his right foot and missed early practices. In 2006, he had a strained neck and shoulder; and in 2007, he suffered from back spasms that kept him out of games towards the end of the season.[1]
