Juan Materno Vasquez de Leon (September 14, 1927 - June 21, 1999) was born in the historic city of Nombre de Diosthat is located in the Atlantic coast of the Republic of Panama Panama Public speaker of affluent fame, lawyer and professor his intellectual work was centered in defining the Nature of Being Panamanian: Investigations of the Nature of Being Panamanian (A Theory of the Panamanian Nationality)published in 1981.
