Juan Eduardo David Posada (April 25, 1911 — 1981) was a Cuban artist. He worked mainly the humoristic drawing, ilustration and painting. He was born in Las Villas, Cuba, and died in Havana.

[edit] Individual Exhibitions
Among his must relevant exhibitions can be included "Fotografía Santiago", Cienfuegos, Cuba, 1931. In 1937 he exhibited his works in"David". Lyceum, Havana. Many years later in 1949 he exhibits"Lake Success", ONU, New York, U.S.A. In Galeria Habana he achieves many of his personal exhibitions: in 1962 "David: Dibujos y Caricaturas"; in 1978, "40 Caricaturas y algunas intromisiones. David"; in 1981 "Exposición Homenaje. 70 Aniversario. Juan David". In 2002 his works where presented at "Juan David: La realidad trascendida". Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba.

In a collective perspective he participates in the " XI Salón de Humoristas, Círculo de Bellas Artes", Havana, 1939. He was also part of the exhibition "Arte Cubano Contemporáneo", Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, 1948. In 1968 "Pittura Cubana Oggi, Istituto Italo Latinoamericano", Piazza Marconi, Rome, Italy. In 1970 was part of the "Salón 70", Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana. And in 1994 he was included in "Nuevas Adquisiciones", Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba.

During his life he has obtained many awards and recognitions like the Prize, "XI Salón de Humoristas, Círculo de Bellas Artes", Havana, 1939. In 1950 he gained the First Prize Personal Caricature XVI "Salón de Humoristas", Havana. Was also awarded in 1950 with the Second Prize Dibujo Humorístico, XVI Salón de Humoristas, Havana. And in 1955 he obtained First Cartoon Prize, "XXI Salón de Humoristas", Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba.
