Juan Carlos Olave is an Argentine football goalkeeper. He was born on 21 February 1976, in the city of Córdoba the capital of Córdoba Province, Argentina.
Olave is currently owned by Spanish club Real Murcia, but plays for Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata of the Primera Division Argentina. He has been put up for transfer, with Vélez Sársfield being the main contender for his services [1].
After arriving from Murcia, Olave was Gimnasia's number one goalkeeper, but he was relegated to the bench after several off-key performances, especially the 7-0 defeat to Estudiantes de La Plata on October 15, 2006. His replacement, Carlos Kletnicki, did not convince new manager Francisco Maturana, who required that a new goalkeeper be acquired in the transfers market. Gimnasia obliged and brought Argentine veteran Sebastián Cejas from Chilean side Colo-Colo.
