Juan Carlos Medina (Born on August 22, 1983), is a Mexican Footballer, currently playing for CF Atlas as a Right Wing Midfielder and is also the team captain following the departure of Manuel Perez to Monterrey.

Medina debuted with CF Atlas on August 31, 2003 against UAG Tecos and has been with Atlas ever since. Medina played three games in 2003 with the Mexican U-20 team, and he played his first game with the senior team in 2004. His play has brought him a first summons to the Mexican National Football Team with new Coach Hugo Sanchez. His first game was against Venezuela on February 28, 2007. In this game, Medina was able to earn a crucial penalty for the Mexican side, as he was knocked down in the box. Juan Carlos has shown that he's also at home as a standing Right Forward.

Medina, also known as el Negro, played his 1st game as team captain against Toluca in which he scored a goal that left the two teams tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Juan Carlos made a goal against Cruz-Azul during a free kick. One week later when the play against Necaxa Medina scored in Olimpic goal wich has been his best one yet. It was a corner- kick and he kicked the ball with an awsome turn of the ball ande he scored the equlizing goal!
