Juan Carlos Arguedas Ávila (born May 3, 1970) is a retired Costa Rican soccer player. Currently, he is coach of first division team San Carlos FC.
Arguedas used to play for AD Carmelita, but was also part of the three "big teams" of Costa Rica's football, Deportivo Saprissa, C.S. Herediano and LD Alajuelense . He made his debut for the national team in 1991, collecting a total of 23 caps, scoring 4 goals. He played his last international in 2000 against Barbados.
