Don Juan Antonio de Urrutia y Arana, Marques de la Villa del Villar del Aguila, was a rich and powerful nobleman and patron of the arts in 18th-century Queretaro, Mexico. In the year 1756 he directed the construction of La Casa de la Marquesa, "the House of the Marchioness," a beautiful home for his wife. This mansion, an architectural jewel, is today a luxury hotel and a tourist attraction in its own right.
