[edit] Welcome!

Hi Jtm97, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: <nowiki>[[User:Mailer diablo|Mailer Diablo]] 08:49, 5 January 2006 (UTC)</nowiki>. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Please do not delete afd tags. If you disagree with the nomination for deletion, participate in the afd process by following the link in the afd box. Jasmol 03:34, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi Jtm97, the AfD has been concluded with no consensus, which means keep by default. Do work with fellow editors to improve on the article, to reduce its chances of getting nominated for deletion again. - Best regards, Mailer Diablo 08:49, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Stamps.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Stamps.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 21:52, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Khurshid Marwat (round 2)

He asked me to examine the situation and see what I thought of it. After doing my own research, I concluded that the information is unverifiable and should thus be deleted. Rest assured that I would never simply jump into a debate to side with a friend without investigating the situation first. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:57, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] KSG

I moved this image to the commons. Image:Taubman Building, John F. Kennedy School of Government.jpg.

I hope that was okay.

Thank you user:Jtm97 for your generosity. I wrote this article out of my childhood memories. --Marwatt 03:42, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Portrait of Rahman Baba.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Portrait of Rahman Baba.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:18, 26 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 65.95.145.173 04:18, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
