[edit] AfD nomination of Designs in Creative Entertainment

I've nominated Designs in Creative Entertainment, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Designs in Creative Entertainment satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Designs in Creative Entertainment and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Designs in Creative Entertainment during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. → AA (talkcontribs) — 16:24, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Board and table games

  • The WikiProject which tries to improve articles on games such as 18XX is discussing an article that you started. Please see [1], and help us decide how best to handle this information encyclopedically without conflict-of-interest problems. Thanks. Barno 15:46, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
  • I realize you're discouraged, but I'm thinking that there is definitely enough hobby press to keep the 18XX tournaments at least within the 18XX article, and I commented on the cons page about possible sources that would keep that page standalone. I blocked the PROD quickie deletion, because I think we need "merge" and might find enough for "keep" but "delete" isn't most appropriate. Please keep trying and I will fight for at least some coverage, and as much as we can justify under the policies. See the Diplomacy (game) talkpage for discussion of the French Wikipedia's Palmares... page for Dip conventions and tournaments. 18XX cons could be expanded similarly, with facts documented in BGG and game mags, as long as there are some "reliable" sources to establish notability. Barno 13:44, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
  • I have asked Mark Derrick and Pierre LeBoeuf (who directed the WBC 18xx tournament) for references. JTamplin 14:25, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Chris Lawson (board games)

A tag has been placed on Chris Lawson (board games) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 13:44, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
