John Fenton, or John "The J-Man" Fenton as he is known by many, is an anchor for the popular high school newscast RCTV (Rock Canyon Television). He, and a handful of classmates, pioneered the program during their sophomore year at Rock Canyon High School. The broadcasts air every day during 2nd period, and many of the shorts films have become so popular with other local high schools that the RCTV produced a "Best of RCTV" DVD and sold it to students. The J-Man never had any broadcasting experience before his sophomore year, but after informal training in basic video editing using Final Cut Pro and Avid Express, he soon became adept at producing broadcasts weekly.

The work he did for his high school did not go unnoticed, and his home county's local TV station hired him as an anchor for a district-wide news show called DC8, featuring every school in the county. His work was then viewed on a much larger scale due to the fact he had videos circulating the internet and about 250,000 viewers watching his broadcasts on their local cable channel loop for an entire month.

The J-Man lives with his family still, but is excited about graduation. He stated in an interview, "I can't wait to get out of this place, really. I'm looking into a couple of specialized films schools, but I think I'll end up in either CU or CSU's technical journalism program."

"I really think that to jump start my ideal career as an anchor, I just have to get my face out there a little more and show people what I've got."

A general consensus is that the masses can't wait to see what the J-Man comes up with next. Many have called him the next Steven Colbert or John Stewart. Whether it be a funny skit that become the next internet craze, or his debut on Saturday Night Live (another personal goal of his), you can rest assured that we (The Runamuck Productions Staff) will be hearing more from this promising film-maker.
