JQH Arena

The JQH Arena is a 11,000 seat basketball arena in Springfield, Missouri that is scheduled to begin construction in December of 2006. Due to be completed in 2008, it will be the home of the Missouri State University Bears and Lady Bears basketball teams. JQH stands for John Q. Hammons, a local hotel magnate who donated $25 million for the arena. Hammons later increased his donation to $30 million due to rising costs in construction.
