[edit] Repost of Brandon Link

A tag has been placed on Brandon Link, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Brandon Link is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Brandon Link saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. EMT1871 (talk) 17:32, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Brandon Link

(copied over from your other account's talk page)
Thanks for your message. To be honest, I can't see that there's been an edit war, per se, more that the page has been created and deleted three times. The last time I deleted the page as it didn't assert that the person had any notability (short of including the words "well-known") - no independent reliable sources establishing their notability, in fact no references whatsoever other than a link to the person's website. If you have reason to believe that the subject is notable then I'm happy to look at it - you can use the "E-mail this user" link (go to my user page and click on the "Email this user" link in the toolbox on the left hand side menu. Oh, alternatively you could just use another account and recreate the page in exactly the same form...mind you, the only downside with that is you run the risk of being blocked for disruption. GBT/C 17:43, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh, by the way, have a read of this policy, then work out which of your two accounts you'd like to keep and which is to be blocked for sockpuppetry. Let me know when you've decided...thanks. GBT/C 17:45, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Clarification - You stated on the AfD "The only people that want this article deleted are those associated with Brandon Lang's website." I'm very much hoping that this is a typo of somesort because I am in no way associated with the subject (I'd never even heard of him until the AV/I). Maybe I'm just overreacting because it is Monday but, I'd really appreciate it if blanket statements like this could be avoided in future. Thank you. Jasynnash2 (talk) 08:02, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Brandon lang, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. nneonneo talk 23:50, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Two for the Money (film)

It seems clear to me that the Brandon Lang article has been deleted as not-notable on more than one occasion. Your attempt to recreate it by editing the above article is unacceptable and a breach of policy. Accordingly, this article is protected for now and any attempt to pursue an agenda will result in blocking for disruption. Thanks. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 08:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
